Went outside. Looked around; several trees are live oaks and still full of leaves, so nigh impossible to see a clump of feathers as big as my hand.

Didn’t hear the owl again, even after playing some screech owl calls off my phone.

But it was a warm, misty night where everything has a soft edge like in a dream. Glad I experienced it. GN.
