      <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Finished reading Argylle by Elly Conway, which is (and isn’t) a tie-in to the movie Argylle. <br><br>The movie is about Elly. <br><br>This book is a spy novel about Agent Argylle’s recruitment, training, and first big mission for the CIA. <br><br>Written in present tense (which alternately fades into the background or is obvious  and annoying), I felt at a distance to all of the characters. Reminded me of the Fleming Bond novels. I haven’t read spy novels in decades, so maybe that’s the style?<br><br>After I finished it, I thought about whether or not I actually liked it.
