The locations and costumes are amazing. A lot of effort was put in to making it accurate to the 1600s, even the language. The younger cast members (especially those who had never been in a samurai drama before) had instruction on how to deliver their lines. A comparison for English I read was to think of it as Shakespearean. #shogun
