Tried so many ways to use that white wave washi tape as an obi and none of them felt right. Turns out it was meant to be a ribbon, not a band.

How it was: back of the painted board divided into 4” x 4” squares.

2. How it is: Yes, Maybe, and Needs Work piles of painted 4” x 4” squares thanks to Boyfriend because he’s awesome like that.

Next step is collage and more paint on the squares that appealed to me.

How it started: 24” x 20” gessoed mat board with swatch sheet of potential colors and supplies.

2. How it’s going: lotsa acrylic paint, water-soluble crayons and pencils.

Needs to dry, then it will be cut up into 4” x 4” squares for Phase 2.
