An artist I collaborated with 10 years ago contacted me and asked if I wanted create some new fabric art for her shop.

Absolutely! This is wonderfully exciting and I'm looking forward to making these new pieces which will be tea themed (original set was coffee themed).

We've been emailing back and forth about details. My final question was if she wanted any in-progress photos or just the final piece for review. She answered with "Do your magic!"

With Valentine’s Day taking over…

With Valentine’s Day taking over February (and the last week of January at the point-of-purchase displays in the grocery store), I wanted to do a daily post to Nostr about love, but not romantic love.

I decided on #29daysplushielove - starting with Sparkles. He’s a lion who hangs out in my art studio. Several years ago, a friend was going through even more cancer treatments and received him as a gift. She’s not big into plushies (unless it was a lizard), so when I visited her home and hugged him, she asked if I wanted him. She’s gone, but Sparkles still shines and reminds me of her every day.
