Now that I’ve built up enough orange acrylic paint on the flowers, I can add yellow liquid acrylic to flow into the grooves.
Probably going to repeat that process one more time,
Going to the quilt store de-stash bash this morning made me realize I didn’t have “quilting “ represented in this piece. Mom’s made some amazing quilts over the years.

After my dad went into a full-care facility (ALZ), my mom moved into a new, much smaller, house. It was part of a new cul-de-sac just being built, so we

After a bit of experimenting, I now have a template (3 really) for some of the flowers. Going to figure out how I want a profile flower to look, then start cutting into
After seeing how well the painted tissue paper hat and gloves turned out (and how poorly the painted stems turned out (twice)), I’m painting more tissue paper and will use that technique
Hat is done. Now waiting for glue to dry on the garden gloves.

This is a series of notes for my art project of using a reference photo of Mom’s
Current state of the art board. Once this layer dries, I’ll work on the door frame and glass, which will just be a darkish gray to provide contrast with the flowers.
