Toenail on my big toe grew in, again. This time, the podiatrist added a solution that will assure that won’t happen. Also means I’ll be sitting around for the next 4 weeks. May or may not result in more Nostr posts. He said it was good I came in early (it wasn’t painful, just constantly red and the skin was tight/lightly swollen) because the nail was growing in again and would have likely become infected. If it had become infected, he’d have to treat the infection first, then do the procedure to remove the ingrown nail part (what I had done today).

Therefore … don’t put off going to the doctor.

I had this same process done in May. The 3 shots to numb the toe are what hurt the most - and they really hurt. But it was over (objectively) quickly, and I don’t feel anything when he actually cuts the nail out. Doesn’t hurt much after either, there’s just the “wound care” process I have to do 2x/day for a month.

So I knew what I was getting into … and wasn’t looking forward to it.

But better to do it now before it got worse.

Just in case anyone out there needs to hear that.

Finish watching Loki Season 2. Really, really, really liked the ending - how he got there, who he became to be able to accomplish it, and how, when presented with the two options, he was brave.
