24” x 30” Mixed Media Canvas Update: paint sky (again), adding paper

More acrylic paint on the sky, a dark blue stencil that barely shows up, some blue Posca pen, and origami paper.

The paper on the dragon body is a pattern I printed at various sizes. Putting the larger pattern closest to the view/bottom of the canvas, and the smaller print further away/higher on the canvas adds to the illusion of depth… at least I hope so. 😬 I also tore and placed those papers to indicate the direction each band was moving (small points or arrow shapes) as it wound through the mountains.

All of the paper will be painted over so it will look more integrated later.

Next will likely be some work on the mountains.
